Realtor Open House

Today I am hosting a Realtor Open House.  It's been a slow market. Like the kind of market where your home has been for sale for over 280 days with only 10 showings.  The kind of market where your home is listed $65,000 below your appraisal (or 20%). The kind of market where the two interested buyers have to sell their homes before they can buy yours and the third interested party wanted to rent your home. This is my kind of market.

I love my Realtor.  I would never sell a home without one. Period. This is one of the biggest financial transactions my husband and I make and I would not do it without a trusted Realtor. In fact, if it had not been for my wicked smart Realtor when we bought this home, we'd be in a much different position financially with selling. Fortunately, she rocked the negotiations when we bought.  Thank you Betsy!!

When choosing a Realtor/office, I tend to use boutique real estate offices. I just like smaller. Yes I have heard the argument for the bigger, yadda, yadda but what it comes down to is who I trust, style and negotiation skills.  I have always felt the smaller firms give better customer service - just a personal preference.

So, today I sit at my computer waiting for the Realtors to get here. I offered to help "babysit" my house. Actually, my type A personality likes to be here.

Anyone in the market for a new home? I am giving one away!

You and I have similar hand towel tastes- I saw two of my hand towels in your house. I hope you sell fast, you have staged it beautifully.

Does Max need a lunchbox for next year? With NASA doing the Star Wars exhibit right now, they have some awesome SW lunchboxes- Coop got a Vader one. I can always pick you up one. :)
