When DIY Goes Horribly Wrong

I cried. I cried some more. I am home by myself. The cabinet came straight out of the wall, flipped and landed on my new floors. Damn.  It had to be the cabinet full of alcohol. Damn again.

"I thought I drilled into a stud but I was a little worried" said Byron.

I am not speaking to him at the moment.

Oh NOOOOOO. Marc and I just stared at your pictures in horror. Is it terrible that he laughed at Byron's statement?

Oh my gosh. I made my husband read this post. His comment was 'man fail'. And we laughed. I'm sure your hubby feels awful.

Oh, :-(.

Reminds me of the time our cable guy came to install our new cable line and dropped our mammoth TV on my new bamboo floors, ruining the floor and denting my new cabinets along the way.

Sigh.

Sadness for you.

I have to agree. You will laugh. One day. Today, you cry. I am so very sorry. I'd say lick up the alcohol, but that damned broken glass would probably get in the way. LOL. Bless yoru heart. I'll come over and take you out to dinner...let me know! I wanna meet my new "neighbor" anyway!

Ohhh noooo! What a mess! Well, bless your heart. The way you told the story made me laugh out loud, though. "I am not speaking to him at the moment." It reminded me of that "Modern Family" episode when there's an earthquake and the hutch crashes to the ground. Phil says, "Claire had been nagging me to anchor that to the wall for months, so I finally gave in and told her I did it." :-)

Just ... wow! NOT the alcohol, though!! It could have been worse and landed on the laptop ... I guess ... :( .. I'm sorry, but you WILL laugh actually ... maybe even you're at the point where you can laugh NOW ... but, yeah .. I'd have been bummed .. poor hubby!
