ChalkBoard Before & After (30% off Gap Coupon)

Yes, another mirror :)  I am addicted to my $10 Habitat for Humanity Thrift Store mirrors. I heart them but I am done with mirrors for awhile (or until I see the next diamond in the rough, ha!).

Before & After
BeforeandAfter

During: I replaced the backing. Instead of spray painting the mirror with chalkboard paint, I turned the mirror over and sprayed the backside. This way if I ever want to use this piece as a mirror, I can!
Thank you Mustard Seed Creations. You Rock the smarts.

Love this project! I'm in search of a mirror now so I can make one too! How clever to turn the mirror around and paint the back side. Thanks for sharing!

That mirror is GORGEOUS! I love that you turned it into a chalkboard. I keep finding great mirrors and thinking "Oooh...that would make a cute chalkboard, but..." and then I insert "it's too small, it's too expensive, etc." I'm still on the lookout, though. It'll happen eventually!

What a beautiful project! Love the multipurposing (is that a word?) of painting the back! That woudl satisfy my fear of wishing it were still a mirror!

Love the details on the frame & that is genius to turn the mirror over. I just got a mirror at a garage sale this weekend that I'm going to turn into a chalkboard. I'll have to check it out and see if it can be turned over. Thanks!

I love this chalk board. I've been wanting to do this too for my kids toy room! What kind of chalk board paint did you use? A friend of mine used one that doesn't allow for great writing; yours looks like it makes for a perfect chalk writing surface.
