from Trash to Trailer

trailer

It started with this Craigslist post. I have called the owners and I am waiting on some additional photos. The soonest I could get out to look at it is Thursday. Until then, I will dream...

Have you ever refurbished a trailer?  This trailer does not have title or registration, anyone with experience on this in TX?

You can find the rest of my trailer pictures on Pinterest.

We just went through a "no title" problem in AL.
Here the two solutions are, you can "buy" a title through your insurance company, and after something like two years you own the real title. Or, the way we went...The Department of Revenue had all of our instructions which basically ran down to this: you pay and put a legal ad in the newspaper classifieds, it runs for two weeks, and thirty days after the last ad ran you apply for a missing title. If someone is on the record as currently owning the title a certified letter is sent to them and depending on their response (or lack of response) the Dept makes their decision about giving you a title or not. Lots of paperwork, everything is notarized. Check the laws and paperwork BEFORE the person you buy this from does your bill of sale, because our laws stated that certain things had to be included in the bill of sale and we had to have a second one made. Also, obtaining a copy of their previous bill of sale (from when they purchased it) wouldn't hurt things if they have one.

Hope that helps!
